Flight Time

Weather

daytime temp. of 5°C

We will excitedly and eagerly meet at the Prague and Bratislava airports to set off on a fourteen-day ‘discovery of America’. We start our journey in our private jet with a six-hour flight including a good breakfast and light snacks. In the morning local time, we land on the west coast of the largest island on the planet, in GREENLAND. After a short bus transfer to the center of the world’s northernmost capital, NUUK, lunch and accommodation in a modern hotel in the city center await us. On the way from the airport we will learn something about this remote corner of the world, which geographically belongs to the North American continent, from our tour guides.

Then, during the afternoon we will go on a city tour of NUUK including the old and new cathedrals, the oldest house in the country, attractive statues in several places in the city, the market square, the old town with iconic colorful houses, the colonial harbor and then the Nuuk fjord. Finally, we will have a walk to the most famous viewpoint Myggedalen, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from our hotel. After dinner and a late sunset, with a little luck, we may even catch a glimpse of the northern lights – Aurora Borealis.

The most avid golfers will not want to miss the unique opportunity to play on the unique 9-hole Nuuk Golf Club course with a par of 33, which has no trees or bushes. If the weather permits, we will play on small fairway oasis, the topsoil of which was imported in 20 containers from Denmark and covered with special fairway grass from Iceland. It is common for golf balls to play ping-pong on the rocky surface if the shot does not hit the fairway!

After breakfast, we will will check out (no need to worry about luggage, it goes directly to the airport) and move to the nearby port. Whilst yesterday was more about the history, culture, customs and present day of Greenland, today is about its amazing nature.

An adventurous morning Fjord safari awaits us on small but fast fishing boats (for 6-12 people with a heated cabin) – an experiential cruise among icebergs in the second largest fjord system in the world, with a view of Mount Sermitsiaq towering over Nuuk. In addition to the scenic fjords, the highlight of the cruise will be watching the majestic finned humpback whales.

After a light lunch on board the boat (we will taste something local), we will return to the port and from there go straight to the Nuuk airport.

Flight Time

5+ hours

Weather

daytime of 10 – 15°C

A late afternoon flight from Nuuk to Bozeman on our private jet will take just over five hours. As the time difference between these cities is also five hours, according to the clock we will actually be there in just a few minutes, so with a late lunch and drinks on board, we will really have to ‘hurry up’!

We will arrive during the early evening in the interior of the USA, to the city of Bozeman in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the state of MONTANA. There will be an hour-long transfer from the airport to southwestern Montana, where we will then begin our cowboy adventure, and enjoy our first dinner in the Wild West. For three days, a stylish Montana ranch will become our home so that our experience is multiplied!

DAY 3 - 4
04 May - 05 May 2027

Meals

Weather

daytime of 10 – 15°C

Two days full of natural wonders lie ahead of us. After breakfast, we will set off on a full-day trip to one of the most beautiful natural sites on our planet – YELLOWSTONE.

In the national park of the same name, covering an area of almost 9,000 km², 96% of which lies in the state of Wyoming, more wild animals roam than almost anywhere else in the USA. Grizzly and black bears, bison and elk, eagles and trumpeter swans make their home here. Geothermal wonders such as Old Faithful captivate visitors with regular eruptions reaching up to 55 meters.

In the first national park in the USA, we discover endless natural gems such as the terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs or Grand Prismatic Spring, the largest hot spring in the country. We will interrupt our full-day exploration of Yellowstone with lunch at a local restaurant, and if we are lucky, maybe somewhere along the way we may also meet Kevin Kostner as he films the next season of his cult series Yellowstone!

Since we have two full days to explore Yellowstone, golfers can play one day at Bridger Creek Golf Course. This 30-year-old public course, nestled in beautiful Montana countryside, about an hour’s drive from our lodge, is a natural corridor for a variety of animals (elk, deer, beavers, raccoons, ground squirrels…) and birds (bald eagles, ospreys, hawks, owls…). We return to our lodge in the early evening to enjoy a good and hearty Montana dinner in peace.

Weather

One more ‘cowboy’ breakfast and we are off to Central America. Today’s flight from Bozeman to Guatemala City is approximately six hours long. We will enjoy a hearty lunch on board before we land in GUATEMALA in the late afternoon. We will leave our warm clothes on the plane and take out our summer accessories for the next part of our journey!

From the airport we head to the colonial city of ANTIGUA (approximately one and half hours transfer), which is one of the three former capitals of the Mayan Empire. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and will enchant you with its well-preserved colonial architecture, cobblestone streets and views of the surrounding volcanoes. Antigua is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, artisan markets and cozy cafes, and will absorb you with its rich atmosphere – the smell of fresh coffee, the rhythm of street music and the colors that change with each sunset over the Agua volcano.

After checking into our accommodation in a boutique hotel right in the historic center of the city, a stylish dinner will be prepared, including a tasting of quality Guatemalan rum (did you know that the famous Zacapa rum is from Guatemala?).

DAY 6 - 7
07 May - 08 May 2027

Meals

breakfast & lunch

Weather

daytime of 28°C

We have two days ahead of us exploring the rich history and amazing nature of Central American Guatemala. We will reach the PACAYA volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Central America, after a one and a half hour drive from our hotel. Then, a moderately difficult two and a half hour trek awaits us along dried lava rivers, volcanic rocks and sand under this 2,577 m high ‘cone’. During the hike, we will also see the surrounding volcanoes, and if we are lucky, maybe even lava flowing down the crater. Before returning to Antigua, we will taste something delicious for lunch in a local restaurant.

Those who do not wish to join us on this trip certainly do not have to be sad as there is still lots to do! Historic Antigua has its own charm, with walks through its streets, visits to the local market and shops, along with churches and colonial squares all worth a visit.

Our golfers have this dilemma solved. They will play on the 18-hole Mayan Golf Club course with an epic view of the volcano and the lake.

On the second day we will go to see one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, ATITLÁN, which lies in a huge volcanic caldera surrounded by three volcanoes – Atitlán, Tolimán and San Pedro. After a two and a half hour journey through the countryside, we will reach the town of Panajachel, from where we will sail across the lake to Santiago de Atitlán, home of the Tz’utujil Mayan community. During the hour-long cruise, there are wonderful views in all directions, the beautiful color of the deepest lake in Central America, and the Indian villages on its shores.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant, some short free time at the market to buy colorful souvenirs, and then we will return to Antigua where you can dine individually at the hotel or just a short walk nearby, in the historic center of Antigua.

Weather

Since Guatemala is one of the world’s leading coffee growers, breakfast cannot be without a delicious farewell espresso. We will transfer to the airport and before lunch we board our private jet and fly on to Guatemala City. During the two and a half hour flight to the south of the Caribbean, we only have time for a light lunch and will then land in South American COLOMBIA.

Less than half an hour transfer from the airport takes us to the historic center of CARTAGENA, where we stay in a luxury hotel. Since it is right in the old town, it is hard not to be tempted to take a pleasant walk through the colorful streets and squares to soak up the cheerful South American-Caribbean atmosphere with a rich Spanish colonial history.

DAY 9 - 10
10 May - 11 May 2027

Meals

fullboard

Weather

daytime of 32°C

We will have two days of exploring, but also Caribbean beach relaxation. starting with a visit to the La Popa Monastery situated on the highest hill of Cartagena, with beautiful views of the city and the bay. Then to another hill, San Lázáro, on which the 16th century fortress of San Felipe de Barajas is built, with an elaborate tunnel system.

We will end our half-day tour of Cartagena in the historic center of the city near the San Pedro Claver Church, where we will enjoy a Colombian lunch in a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, there will be time for an individual wander through the most beautiful city in Colombia. Gabo Marquez, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, fell in love with it, as did Sir Francis Drake, who conquered the city during his pirate days (and fortunately did not burn it down!).

Whilst all of this is very interesting and exciting, we will then take a break from history for a while, and instead relax and refresh ourselves in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Our next excursion is a full-day boat trip to the Islas del Rosario, an exotic archipelago 20 km off the coast of Cartagena, with snorkeling, swimming, sailing between islands and islets. Oh, and maybe a mojito! Good fish is on offer for lunch with a chilled local beer or soft drink.

All of this poses a dilemma for our golf lovers, as they will have to decide between the boat trip or 18 holes on what is probably the best Colombian golf course, the Karibana Golf Club, opened in 2014 and designed by Nicklaus Design.

We will enjoy some spectacular dinners at the end of each day in good local restaurants situated close to our hotel.

It is less than an hour’s drive from the airport to our luxury beach resort along the island, so we will have the opportunity to see it all. Before dinner, there is time to check the beauty of the beach and the temperature of the sea.

The hearts of our golfers will dance for the last time on this tour when they play on the most popular public course on the islands – Port Royal Golf Course. This course, with challenging greens and variable winds, is a regular host of the PGA Bermuda Open tournament. Its 16th hole, a par 3, with a teeing ground on the edge of the cliff is probably the most photographed hole in Bermuda. A golfing highlight as it should be!

We will end the final day, and our two-week American adventure, with a farewell dinner together.
